1963年出生于山東。山東大學光學系 學士(1985年);航天部701研究所 助工(1985至 1987年);哈爾濱工業大學16專業 碩士(1989年);中國科學院物理研究所 博士(1992年);中國科學院生物物理研究所 高級工程師(1993至 1994年);日本關西學院大學化學系博士后(1995至2001);中國科學院化學研究所 研究員、入選"百人計劃"(2001至2006)、分子動態與穩態結構國家重點實驗室 副主任(2001至2005);哈爾濱工業大學凝聚態科技研究中心 客座教授、兼職博士生導師(2005至今);中國人民大學化學系 教授(2006年至今)。

通過超快光譜手段研究復雜功能分子與材料體系的構效關系。主要內容包括: (1)生物、化學以及材料體系中的電荷轉移和能量傳遞動力學;(2)天然抗氧化劑自由基反應機理;(3)激光光譜學新理論、新方法。

⑤主要科研成果(含發表的主要著作、論文等)
從事生物、化學和光電功能材料等復雜體系的分子動態結構研究。建立了大型分子動態結構研究平臺,包括寬時域時間分辨光譜、飛秒時間分辨受激拉曼光譜、光譜顯微等尖端技術手段,發展了復雜光譜動力學數據解析方法。在天然與模擬光合作用超分子體系、天然抗氧化劑的自由基反應機理、以及光電功能分子與材料研究領域發表SCI收錄科研論文120余篇。代表性論文:
