個人簡介張祖新,男,理學博士,華中農業大學植物科學技術學院教授,博士生導師。1987年-2005年在湖北農學院工作,曾任作物遺傳育種研究所副所長,農學系副主任,教務處副處長,處長。2005-2009年在河北農業大學任教,河北省中青年骨干教師,享受省政府津貼。2009年6月至今,在華中農業大學植物科學技術學院任教。參編國家“十一五”規劃教材《基礎分子生物學》、《簡明分子生物學教程》。主要研究方向玉米遺傳育種,玉米抗逆分子生物學。
