所謂并列句是指兩個或兩個以上的簡單句通過并列連詞連在一起構成的句子，稱為并列句，其基本結構是“簡單句+并列連詞+簡單句”。并列連詞有：以and表示并列遞進關系的并列連詞，以but表示轉折關系的并列連詞，以or為代表的表示選擇關系的并列連詞，以so為代表的表示因果關系的并列連詞等。并列句中的各簡單句意義、定位和重要性相同，不分高低先后，相互之間沒有從屬關系，是平行并列的關系，因此叫并列句。他們之間用連詞連接。

Not only...but also.。。不但.。。而且.。。

例句

When a pair of couple has a row with each other , there are problems and responsibilities not only with the husband’s side , but also with the wife’s side。

當夫妻二人吵架時，不僅丈夫有問題，妻子也有責任。

●轉折關系

Many people enjoy the pleasure and convenience of using computer and Internet , yet they hanv changed our lifestyle and caused a lot of problems。

很多人享受著電腦和網絡所帶來的快樂和便利，然而他們已經改變了我們的生活方式并引起了很多問題。

●選擇關系

Or或者，or else 否則，otherwise 否則，neither...nor.。。級部.。。也不，either...or.。。或者.。。或者.。。

The worrying trend has to be halted .Otherwise , many people will fall victim to it 。

必須阻止這種令人擔憂的趨勢，否則許多人將成為這種風氣的犧牲品。

●因果關系

So所以，therefore 所以，因此，thus 因此，for因為，then 然后

We should pay attention to the environmental problem , for it is very important to us human beings。

我們應該注意環境問題，因為環境問題對我們人類非常重要。

友誼題材

To the world , my classmate may be just one person , but to me , friendship and friends may be the whole world。

校園題材

To the world , our school may be just one school , but to us , our school may be the whole world。

對于世界而言，我們的學校只是一個普通的學校，但是對于我們而言，我們的學校使我們的整個世界。

網絡題材

To the world , computers may be just computers , but to some students , computers may be the whole world。

對于世界而言，電腦只是電腦;但是對于某些學生而言，電腦成了他們的整個世界。
