Write an essay of 160-200 words based on the following picture. In your essay,
you should

1) describe the picture briefly,

2) interpret its intended meaning, and

3) give your comments.

You should write neatly on the ANSWER SHEET. (20 points)

對于大作文而言，審題比小作文簡單。一般情況下，大作文的提綱部分都是相同的：1) describe the picture briefly, 2) interpret its intended meaning, and 3) give your comments，也就是說，1)簡述圖畫， 2) 闡釋寓意;3)個人評論。然而，每年的圖片的寓意卻是不相同的，這就是各位考生審題的關鍵。在大作文中，需要強調的一點是：不涉及文章的立意。在研委會給出的大作文的評分標準為內容完整，組織連貫，語言準確，語言多樣，其中，沒有任何一條是涉及到“立意”的。因此，各位考生不需要在文章立意上花費過多的時間。

It is an interesting picture, with deep implication. As the picture unveils, several friends are having a dinner party, which successfully draws our attention. When we watch it closely, it is obvious that each of them is checking messages in their mobile phones without saying a word, leaving the dishes untouched. Definitely, the subtly conveyed implication that as friends we should have more communication by talking instead of by sending messages deserves our further consideration.
Here are some reasons that might account for this issue. To begin with, the mobile phone has affected our daily life. With increasing pace of technology development, more and more people have spent much of their time staring at the screen and lacked many opportunities of communicating with each other face to face. If you regard my analysis reasonable, I will share another reason with you. It is universally believed that the young people have failed to realize the significance of communicating face to face, and their attention has been distracted by the novel electronic equipment.

According to the analysis above, it is high time that we should take steps to resolve this problem. And the society should advocate the young men to put aside the phone and enhance the communication of friends face to face. I hope the serious condition will be eased in the near future.
