Here is a picture, vivid and with profound implication. The painting describes a gathering of four friends who haven’t seen each other for a long time. However, if we give it a closer watch, it is pathetic to notice that all four persons are all absorbed in their cell phones without communicating with each other. Certainly, the clearly reflected implication that cell phone, to some extent, causes indifference among people should be given due attention.
There exists lots of explanation for this problem, but I hold the idea that the following two are the most crucial ones. In the first place, cell phone provides us diversified entertainments and information distracting our attention, and makes friends less necessary than before. If you regard this reasonable, I may go further. Another proper analysis in this case is that education stresses rote learning and test over the ability to deal with people and to maintain friendship. No other case can better illustrate what I have discussed than the drawing before.
Based on the analysis above, it is of high necessity for us to adopt measures to tackle this issue. Of all the methods, mass media should function fundamentally in the job. Only in this may can we ultimately resolve the problem and embrace a hopeful future.
