Jury. 陪審團

陪審團是指向法官(judge\justice)宣誓并且對給定的案子(case)做出裁決(decision)的一組人員，尤其是指被法律召集聽取并且在法庭(court)上做出案子最終裁決的一組人員。陪審團為法院中，用以判定事實的團體，多見于英美法系國家。目前于司法制度中采用陪審團制度的有美國、英國和中國香港等。

譯文：陪審團同意，運動員受傷的原因是游戲的性質而不是頭盔。

Juror.陪審員

陪審團中的一員，在英美法系(又稱大陸法系，common-law system)的國家中通常有12個陪審員，12個候補陪審員。

Supreme court.最高法院

美國聯邦最高法院是美國最高審判機構，由總統征得參議院(Senate)同意后任命的9名終身法官組成，其判例(legal precedent)對全國有拘束力，享有特殊的司法審查(judicial review)權，即有權通過具體案例宣布聯邦或各州的法律是否違憲。

Federal circuit.聯邦巡回上訴法院

聯邦巡回上訴法院，法律引用中常縮寫為Fed.Cir.或C.A.F.C.)是位于華盛頓的一個聯邦上訴法院。該法院是由美國國會(congress)通過《1982聯邦法院改善法》創設的，將原有的聯邦關稅及專利上訴法院、以及美國索賠法院中的上訴部門合并后建立的，使這些法院的法官成為了巡回上訴法官。

訴訟，在法律含義上，指一個案件(case)的發展過程，又特指法院主持下按照法定程序(legal procedure)審理案件的過程。

符合法律規定的權利和利益。在我國，公民的合法利益包括憲法和法律所規定的政治權利、民主權利、人身權利、經濟權利、教育權利等。

Federal legislature.聯邦立法機構

立法機關是制定(legislate)、修改和廢除法律的國家機關。資本主義國家的立法機關是議會。中國的立法機關是全國人民代表大會及其常務委員會。

譯文：Entergy公司打算尋求聯邦立法機構的支持。

美國國會(Congress，United States)行使立法權(legislative authority)。議案(bill)一般經過提出、委員會審議、全院大會審議等程序。國會兩院在各自議長(speaker)主持下工作。眾議院(House of Representatives)議長由全院大會選舉產生，副總統是參議院的當任議長。兩院都設有許多委員會，還設有由兩院議員共同組成的聯席委員會，國會工作大多在各委員會中進行。
