WANG Xia is an associate professor and academic adviser for the MA and MTI program in the School of Humanities at BUPT. She received her Master’s Degree at Shandong University in 1995. She teaches the following courses: College English Integrated Course, Pragmatic Translation between English and Chinese, Translation Theories, Comparison and Translation between English and Chinese. Her research interests are skopos theory, rewriting theory, and feminist translation approach. She is the author of a few essays on college English teaching and on translation. She was the participator in two translation projects and several research projects on college English teaching and on pedagogy of translation. She was a visiting scholar at the University of Nebraska-Lincoln in 2008.
