CUI Xiaoling is an associate professor and academic adviser for MA program in the School of Humanities at BUPT. She got her Ph.D. in Linguistics from Beijing Foreign Studies University in 2006. She was a visiting scholar of UC Davis in 2012. Her research focuses on functional linguistics, discourse analysis, genre analysis, EAP, ESP, corpus linguistics, media analysis and sentiment analyses. The target languages of her research are English, Chinese and Korean. She has published 20 articles in the related fields both at home and abroad. She also published an academic monograph in 2016. In recent five years, she has presided over seven scientific research projects supported by Humanities and Social Sciences Fund of Chinese Ministry of Education,the Fundamental Research Funds for the Central Universities and Teaching Reform Funds of BUPT. She has also participated actively in other research projects.
