一、適用范圍

本大綱適用于招收重慶交通大學外國語學院攻讀英語各專業碩士學位研究生入學考試。

二、考試性質

《基礎英語》是為重慶交通大學外國語學院招收英語各專業碩士學位研究生而設置的具有選拔性質的統一入學考試科目，其目的是科學、公平、有效地測試考生對英語基礎知識及英語語言的綜合運用能力，評價的標準是高等學校英語專業本科畢業生所能達到的英語專業八級及八級以上水平，有利于重慶交通大學外國語學院在專業上擇優選拔，以保證被錄取者具有相應的英語水平，便于從事對應英語專業研究生階段的學習和研究。

考試形式為筆試。考試時間為180分鐘。滿分為150分。

試題分為兩大部分：英語知識運用和閱讀理解

第一部分：英語知識運用

1. 詞匯填空

本部分為選擇題，共20題。要求在四個選項中選擇最佳詞匯補充完句子。本題測試考生的詞匯量和詞匯的恰當運用，尤其是近義詞的辨析。

2. 詞形變換
本部分為填空題，共20題。要求用括號內所提供單詞的恰當派生形式填空。本題測試考生對詞匯各種派生形式的掌握以及在恰當語境中的運用。

3. 校對與改錯
本部分為作答題，共15題。由一篇約250個單詞的短文組成，短文中有15行標有題號。該15行內均含有一個語誤。要求考生根據“增添”、“刪除”或“改變其中的某一單詞或短語”三種方法中的一種改正語誤。本題測試考生運用語言知識的能力，要求能運用語法、詞匯、修辭等語言知識識別所給短文內的語病并提出改正方法。

4. 完形填空
本部分采用選擇題，共20題。在一篇250-300個單詞、題材熟悉、難度中等的短文中留出20個空白。每個空白為一題，要求考生從所給的詞庫中選擇最佳答案（提供的單詞和短語多于空格）。本題測試考生的綜合語言知識和技能，要求考生能在全面理解所給短文內容的基礎上，選擇一個最佳答案使短文意思和結構恢復完整。
IV. Decide which of the words given in the box below would best complete the passage if inserted in the corresponding blanks. The words can be used ONCE ONLY. Note that there are more phrases than gaps. Mark the letter for each word on the Answer Sheet. (20 points)

第二部分：閱讀理解
本部分由數篇閱讀材料組成，閱讀材料共長3000個單詞左右，考生應根據所讀材料內容，完成材料后的各種題型。本部分測試考生通過閱讀獲取和理解有關信息的能力以及對文章內容進行分析、推理、評價的能力，既要求準確性，也要求一定的速度和深度，閱讀速度為每分鐘150個單詞（具體見考試的基本要求部分）。
5. 篇章1, 2, 3
本部分包括釋義題和語篇分析題。釋義題要求考生用英文解釋文章中劃線句子的意思。分析題要求考生根據問題指示對文章寫作目的、內容、框架等進行分析和評價。分析和評價需引證文章內容，做到有理有據，并達到一定字數要求。
