目前考生進入了考研英語基礎階段復習的高潮，在此階段考生一定要牢記：得英語者得天下，得閱讀者得天下，得詞匯者得天下。其實最基礎的還是詞匯的復習，所以考生在基礎階段要鞏固好詞匯，在歷年的復習中都有不少考生陷入詞匯復習的誤區，為了讓考生能夠高效快速的復習詞匯，老師精心準備了詞匯復習的秘訣。

首先，重點掌握英語大綱中必考詞匯，深度理解詞義

我們來了解下大綱的詞匯（5560），其中必考詞為1575，基礎詞為2000+，生僻詞為1700+。其實考生對于基礎詞匯比較好鞏固，生僻詞出現的也不多，考生還是要把重點放在必考詞匯中詞義的深度理解上，例如：

1.yield產量（12次），屈服（15次）。

Self-doubt has yielded to blind pride.2000年真題閱讀text1，yield to是“向……屈服”，即“被取代”。此處使用了現在完成時，證明這種狀態到現在已成型。

That matters because theory suggests that maximum sustainable yield that can be cropped from a fishery comes when the biomass of a target species is about 50% of its original levels. (2006年閱讀1)，

解析：此處理解為：最高持續產量。

2.address: 地址，寫地址，演講，講話，處理，解決。

Depending on whom you are addressing, the problem will be different. (2002text1)

解析：addressing在此是談話的意思，根據談話對象的不同，問題也有所不同。

Boston Globe reporter Chris Reidy notes that the situation will improve only when there are comprehensive programs that address the many needs of the homeless.（2006年完型）

解析：注意comprehensive 和address的理解，波士頓環球日報記者克里斯雷迪認為只有通過全面規劃解決無家可歸者的各種需求，這種局面才有可能得到改善。

其次，注意真題中的熟詞僻義。

1.entail=make=cause=render=underlie引導，引起（根據語境，模糊理解），涉及，使…有…。

　例如：It is becoming less clear, however, that such a theory would be a simplification, given the dimensions and universes that it might entail, nonetheless, unification of sorts remains a major goal.

解析：本句是it引導的形式主語，真正的主語是：such a theory would be a simplification, given the dimensions and universes that it might entail是定語從句，省略了which is，這樣切分意群：It is becoming less clear,/ however, that such a theory /would be a simplification, /given the dimensions and universes /that it might entail,/ nonetheless, /unification of sorts /remains /a major goal. 逐個翻譯意群的意思，然后再組合成通順的漢語。

意譯：然而，鑒于這樣一種理論所涵蓋的規模和領域，他是否還算是一種簡化就越來越模糊了。盡管如此，將多樣性統一化依然是主要目標。

2.entitle=give=confer=grant 給，賦予，授予…特權

例如：we are entitled to some privileges. 我們被賦予一些特權。

Some philosophers argue that rights exist only within a social contract, as part of an exchange of duties and entitlements.

解析：首先我們來切分意群：Some philosophers argue / that rights exist only within a social contract, / as part of an exchange of duties and entitlements.

然后我們在翻譯時要注意：

1)主干結構是主從復合句：Some philosophers argue that...

2)that引導的是賓語從句

3)as part of.。。是賓語從句中的rights的主語補足語。

同時我們學員在翻譯時要注意以下的詞匯：

argue 論證

a social contract 社會契約

as part of 作為(是)……的一部分

entitlements 利益，權利

綜合以上的分析我們可以意譯：

有些哲學家論證說，權利只存在社會契約中，是責任與利益相交換的一部分。

3.表示“認為”的英語表達。

argue, argument, contend, contention, insist, assume, assumption, suspicion, suspect, fear, suggest, suggestion, assert, assertion, feel, agreement, advice, stress, attempt, worry, moan, complain, think, believe, maintain, hold. 這些詞語的表達意思的側重點有所不同，但是都有認為的意思。
