葉峰，1963年出生，2000年畢業于美國普林斯頓大學（Princeton University）哲學系，獲哲學博士學位，博士學位論文為Strict Finitism and Philosophy of Mathematics。1986年至1994年在北京大學哲學系邏輯教研室任助教、講師，2004年回國在北京大學哲學系邏輯教研室任副教授，2010年轉為教授。2013年調動至首都師范大學政法學院哲學系任教授至今。主要從事數學哲學、現代邏輯學和分析哲學的教學和研究。提出了一種國際上新的，以物理主義世界觀為基礎的，嚴格有窮主義的數學哲學。近年致力于圍繞物理主義世界觀的研究，涉及心靈哲學、語言哲學及物理學哲學。開設有多門研究生專業課程。

著有Strict Finitism and the Logic of Mathematical Applications (Synthese Library, vol. 355, Springer, 2011.7)，《二十世紀數學哲學——一個自然主義者的評述》（北京大學出版社，2010.7）。論文曾發表于Journal of Symbolic Logic, Philosophia Mathematica, Synthese, International Studies in the Philosophy of Science, International Journal for Philosophy of Religion, Frontiers of Philosophy in China, 《哲學研究》、《自然辯證法通訊》、《世界哲學》等國際和國內重要學術期刊。一篇論文曾被收錄于The Best Writing on Mathematics 2011, M. Pitici (ed.)，Princeton University Press, 2011, pp. 286-311.

承擔國家級科研項目4項。目前已結項項目2項，在研項目2項。

近三年來發表論文：1.“大腦與規范性”（《世界哲學》）。2.‘Introduction to a Naturalistic Philosophy of Mathematics’（Logic Across the University: Foundations and Applications, College Publications）。3.‘Response to Xu and Leitgeb’（Logic Across the University: Foundations and Applications, College Publications）。4.‘A hidden supernatural self in Kripke’s modal argument against type identity theories’（《自然辯證法通訊》）。5.‘Some naturalistic comments on Frege’s philosophy of mathematics’（Frontiers of Philosophy in China）。6.“物理主義的指稱論與真理論應該是怎樣的”（《哲學評論》）。7.“為什么相信自然主義及物理主義”（《哲學評論》）。

近期承擔的課題：1. 當代物理主義世界觀研究（國家社會科學基金項目一般項目）。2. 基于心靈與認知觀的邏輯與數學哲學研究（教育部人文社會科學重點研究基地重大項目）。
