Professor Ge Chenhong, doctor of philosophy, was born in Beijing, in November of 1958. Serving as professor and tutor of Ph.D. student at Renmin University of China, and the director of the Ethics Teaching and Researching Office in the Department of Philosophy, she holds the deputy-managing director of the Research Center in Ethics and Morals of Renmin University of China, the secretary-general of Beijing Institute of Ethics, the deputy director of the Research Center of the Humanism Olympic Games of Renmin University of China, the executive chief editor of the journal Ethics published by the Information Center of Books and Newspaper of Renmin University of China.
Her main research contents include the theory of ethics, the comparison and contrast between Chinese and foreign ethics culture, the amenity culture, etc. She has published more than ten monographs and collaborations. Among these, The Moralization View: Study on Confucian Moral Character Thought has won the second prize of humane social science outstanding achievement of Beijing in 2000, Theory on Ethical Construction has won the national project award of Excellent Work in Five Aspects in 1999. Besides, she has published more than one hundred papers.
She is now taking charge of the national social science fund project, the social science fund project of national Ministry of Education, the philosophy social science planned project in Beijing and the high-quality teaching material project in Beijing.
