考研詞匯很大部分是由基礎詞匯組成的。這些詞以初、高中詞匯為主，2016考研的同學基本都能認識絕大部分，這些詞匯構成了我們口語和寫作中的主要詞匯，我們把這部分詞匯稱之為基礎詞匯，這部分詞是考研必須要掌握的。

★ yet

ad.還，尚，仍然；已經

conj.然而

ad.甚至（用于比較級之前）

【例1】It’s a winning combination that no competitor has yet been able to challenge.這是一種必勝的組合，很少有競爭者可以匹敵。

【例2】Yet, this still fails for our e-mail problem.但是，這仍然不能解決我們的電子郵件問題。

【例3】a recent and yet more improbable theory最新的而且更加不可信的理論

【真題】Many things make people think artists are weird. But the weirdest may be this: artists’ only job is to explore emotions, and yet they choose to focus on the ones that feel bad.許多事情讓人們覺得藝術家很古怪。但最古怪的可能是：藝術家的唯一工作就是尋找情感，然而他們所關注的對象大多是那些不幸的人。

★ facility

n.靈巧，熟練；

(pl.)設備，設施，便利條件

【例1】He plays the piano with surprising facility.他鋼琴彈奏得相當嫻熟。

【例2】The school has excellent sports facilities.這所學校有非常好的體育設備。

【構詞】fac（做）+ility（性質，狀態）→不斷地做→熟練

【同義替換】proficiency, device, equipment

★ superior

a.優良的，卓越的；上級的

n.上級；長者；高手

【例1】The enemy forces were superior in numbers.敵軍在數量上占優勢。

【例2】She works well with those superior to her in the firm.她與公司的那些上級主管合作很愉快。

【例3】He has no superior as a Shakespearian actor.他是個演莎士比亞戲劇的絕頂高手。

【構詞】super-（超，上）+-ior→優于；上級

【同義替換】excellent, eminent, outstanding, distinguished, remarkable, prominent; senior, elder

【派生】superiorly ad.優越地  superiority n.優越，優勢

【真題】He adds humbly that perhaps he was “superior to the common run of men in noticing things which easily escape attention, and in observing them carefully”.他謙卑地補充道，或許他“和普通人比起來，更能夠注意到那些別人不容易注意到的東西，并對其進行細致的觀察”。

★ productive

a.生產（性）的，能產的，多產的

【例1】They work hard, but their efforts are not very productive.他們很努力，但效率不太高。

【例2】I spent a very productive hour in the library.我在圖書館里的這一小時收獲很大。

【同義替換】fruitful, procreative, prolific

【派生】productively ad.有成果地  productivity n.生產率  productiveness n.盈利性，多產性

【真題1】Only when humanity began to get its food in a more productive way was there time for other things.只有當人類能夠更高效地獲得食物時，他們才有時間做其他的事情。

【真題2】Energetic people now routinely work through their 60s and beyond, and remain dazzlingly productive.精力充沛的人現在工作到60歲甚至更老，而且依然有驚人的創造力。
