任何時候學習單詞都應該有區分、有重點地學習。而且考研英語大綱對于不同的2016考研英語詞匯往往有不同的要求，比如有的詞只要知其義，有的詞則要求掌握其搭配和用法，考生要有針對性的復習。

★ argue

vi.辯論，爭論

v.堅持，主張;說服，勸說

【例1】We argued with the waiter about the price of the meal.我們跟服務員爭論那頓飯的價錢。

【例2】No one is allowed to argue something which is entirely contrary to the law.任何人都不允許堅持與法律背道而馳的東西。

【例3】Jane argued her husband out of his decision of resign.珍妮勸說丈夫打消辭職的決定。

【同義替換】debate, dispute, discuss; insist, stick, adhere; persuade, convince

★ stream

n.小河，溪流;一股，一串

v.流出，涌

【例1】Jack was slapped in the face, and a stream of blood flowed from the corner of his mouth.杰克由于挨了一記耳光，嘴角流下了一道血痕。

【例2】The rain streams down the windows.雨水順著窗戶流了下來。

【構詞】s+tream(看作dream)→夢想的河流→小河，溪流

【同義替換】brook, creek, rivulet; outflow

★ combine

v.聯合;結合

n.集團;聯合企業

【例】Circumstances have combined to ruin our plans for a holiday.各種情況湊在一起破壞了我們的假日計劃。

【同義替換】bond, associate, couple, connect

【派生】combined a.結合的 combination n.結合，組合

★ corridor

n.走廊，通路

【例】There is no lighting in the corridor at night.晚上，這條走廊上沒有燈。

【同義替換】passage, aisle

★ traffic

n.交通，交通量;流量(數據)

【例】There is an increase in freight traffic.貨運量有所增加。

【同義替換】transportation, carriage
