常規單詞積累一定要集中在2016考研復習的前期，否則到了復習后期無論是閱讀的復習還是翻譯的復習，都會遇到困難。同時，單詞記憶不能只記中文釋義，要掌握其常見用法、固定搭配，并且在能力范圍內利用詞根觸類旁通。考研對于詞匯的考查主要體現在考生“同義替換”的能力上，也就是考查考生對于語言多樣性的把握，所以考生在背單詞的時候一定要掌握單詞的同義詞。

substitute

n.代替者；替身；代用品   v.（for）代替，替換

【例】We mustn’t rely on sheer enthusiasm and substitute our personal feelings for policy.我們不能僅靠熱情，也不能用私人感情代替政策。

【構詞】sub-（下面）+stitut（站立）+ e→（站在下面等著）替代
