2016考研英語：核心詞匯(59)

常規單詞積累一定要集中在2016考研英語復習的前期，否則到了復習后期無論是2016考研英語閱讀的復習還是翻譯的復習，都會遇到困難。同時，單詞記憶不能只記中文釋義，要掌握其常見用法、固定搭配，并且在能力范圍內利用詞根觸類旁通。2016考研英語對于詞匯的考查主要體現在考生“同義替換”的能力上，也就是考查考生對于語言多樣性的把握，所以考生在背單詞的時候一定要掌握單詞的同義詞。

deprive

v.剝奪，奪去，使喪失

【例】The new laws deprived many people of the most elementary freedoms.新法律剝奪了許多人的最基本的自由。

【構詞】de-(離開)+prive(私有)→使不再私有→剝奪，使喪失

【同義替換】rob,strip

【派生】deprivation n.剝奪;貧窮，貧困 deprived a.貧困的;窮苦的

【真題】When we are deprived of green, of plants, of trees, most of us give in to a demoralization of spirit which we usually blame on some psychological conditions, until one day we find ourselves in a garden and feel the oppression vanish as if by magic.

detach

v.分開，分離;分遣，派遣(軍隊)

【構詞】de-(分開)+tach(木樁)→從木樁上接下來→使分開，使分離

【同義替換】disconnect, separate, unfasten

【派生】detached a.不偏不倚的，公正的;獨立的 detachable a.可拆開的，可分離的

【真題】Otherwise, academics will continue to think dangerously alike, increasingly detached from the societies which they study, investigate and criticize.

否則，學術界將繼續這樣危險的思考，日益脫離他們所研究、探討與批判的社會。

desirable

a.值得做的;合意的，稱心的;期望得到的

【例】Reforming consumer subsidy programs, though desirable, is not easy.改革消費補貼方案雖然有必要，但實行起來并非易事。

【構詞】desir(=desire 渴望)+-able(形容詞后綴)→渴望的→可取的，值得要的

【同義替換】agreeable, acceptable, advisable

【派生】desire v./n. 愿望，欲望，要求 undesirable a.令人不快的，不需要的

【真題】Sharpening judgment by absorbing and reflecting on law is a desirable component of a journalist’s intellectual preparation for his or her career.

通過研讀和思考法律來提高判斷能力，是一位新聞記者為其事業做知識準備應該做的事情。
