常規單詞積累一定要集中在2016考研英語復習的前期，否則到了復習后期無論是2016考研英語閱讀的復習還是翻譯的復習，都會遇到困難。同時，單詞記憶不能只記中文釋義，要掌握其常見用法、固定搭配，并且在能力范圍內利用詞根觸類旁通。2016考研英語對于詞匯的考查主要體現在考生“同義替換”的能力上，也就是考查考生對于語言多樣性的把握，所以考生在背單詞的時候一定要掌握單詞的同義詞。

distribute

v.分發，分配;分布，(over)散布

【例】The demonstrators distributed leaflets to the passers-by.示威者向行人分發傳單。

【構詞】dis-(分開)+tribute(贈予)→分開贈予→分配

【同義替換】dispense; allot; scatter, spread

【派生】distribution n.分發;分布;分配

【真題】Look up Homo sapiens in the IUCN’s “ Red List ” of threatened species, and you will read: “ Listed as Least Concern as the species is very widely distributed, adaptable, currently increasing, and there are no major threats resulting in an overall population decline.”

在IUCN的瀕危物種紅名單上看看人類的位置，你會發現：人類“被列為是最不用擔心的物種，因為這個物種分布的非常廣泛，適應性很強，當下數量在增加并且不存在使整體種群數量下降的主要威脅。”

administration

n.經營，管理;行政機關，管理部門

【例】The successive administrations have failed to solve the country’s economic problems.歷屆政府均未能解決國家的經濟問題。

【同義替換】operation, management

【派生】administrative a.管理的，行政的

【真題】But on the more important matter of the Constitution, the decision was an 8—0 defeat for the Administration’s effort to upset the balance of power between the federal government and the states.

然而，這一項更加重要且關乎憲法的議題中，投票結果是8比0，因此奧巴馬政府試圖打破聯邦政府和州政府之間平衡的努力也被擊敗了。

plague

n.瘟疫，災害，麻煩，苦惱 v.折磨，使苦惱

【例】The plague of teen violence is an equal-opportunity scourge.令人苦惱的青少年暴力事件，在男女青年中發生的概率均等。

【同義替換】badger, torment, annoy, harass, vex

【真題】For him, order does not result from forgetting or ignoring the disorders that plague our existence; order is a necessary development, an improvement that may lead to the Greek ideal of spiritual elevation.

對他而言，秩序并不源自于忘記或者忽略掉煩擾我們存在的那些無序。
